Antoine Bouvier, CEO of MBDA told Jane’s, “We have an ambition to develop the MMP customer base in Europe. Maybe we are not so pleased that there is a non-European missile which is developing its position in Europe with user clubs, and so we have the ambition, with a better missile, to grow our position in Europe.”

Each year, the “SPIKE Users Club” is convened in a different country in an event organized by NATO/NSPA, to give SPIKE users the opportunity to share their SPIKE experience and hear about new SPIKE developments.

The 15th Annual Conference of the SPIKE Missile Users Club took place this year (2018) in Israel and was attended by around 100 senior representatives from 20 countries that have purchased or in process of evaluating the advanced missile system developed and manufactured by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd.
The SPIKE is a family of multi-mission, precise, electro-optical missiles. SPIKE missiles have been supplied to 29 countries around the world. These countries include Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, the UK, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Singapore, the Philippines, South Korea and more.
The SPIKE Club, hosted this year by the IDF, was established by NATO in cooperation with the IDF 14 years ago, and serves as a platform for international military gatherings in which the delegations share tactical knowledge, experience in training and operations, lessons learned, present to industry future operational needs and presented with future advanced capabilities of the SPIKE family.

Bouvier told Jane’s that the company “also has the ambition not only to sell our product but to support initiatives that our taken by our [European] countries. PESCO [Permanent Structured Cooperation] is not an industrial project or an industrial initiative, it is an initiative from [European] nations – and for this specific PESCO project, this is France, Belgium, and Cyprus.

The new missile project offers an glimpse into PESCO’s nascent process for turning political ambitions into actual hardware made by national vendors. Such is the case here, says MBDA, which released a statement saying its MMP anti-tank weapon had been “endorsed” by the EU even though the official, one-paragraph project description makes no mention of a specific weapon.

Plictis mare in clubul ala.
Pe astia trebuie sa-i ademeneasca in primul rand francezii…
https://militaryleak.com/2019/03/21/mbda-mmp-is-cold-weather-qualified/
Cred ca ar trebui sa se uite in 2 directii:
1. Tarile cu parteneri MBDA: Italia + UK
– man in the loop;
– lock after launch;
– “Fire, Observe and Update”;
https://www.janes.com/images/assets/503/65503/Ajax_uncovered_Detailing_the_British_Armys_latest_combat_vehicle_family.pdf
Ajax PMRS (Ares) va intra in dotare la mijlocul anului in curs (Jane’s). Care are turela Kongsberg Protector. Care a fost testata deja cu Javelin. Chiar daca nu monteaza in mod curent Javelin pe turela, Ares-ul transporta echipe AT dotate cu… Javelin.
Nu e nimic altceva in plan.
Bate vantul prin clubul MMP. Trist, foarte trist.
